Chip's story is so typical. His original owner loved him dearly, but her family situation changed drastically. Sadly, she needed to find Chip a new home. Our re-homing experts stepped in and Chip found a new and loving home with a kind, lonely, senior citizen. He was living the good life! Whenthis sweet lady passed away, as per the re-homing agreement, a member of her family took him in and will keep Chip forever. Had Chip originally gone into an overcrowded shelter rather than into a re-homing program such as Post-A-Pooch-Plus offers, the stress of shelter life may have made him seem unadoptable. Without the adoption agreement, Chip may have wound up in a shelter anyway after his new pet parent's death only because a solid pre-arranged plan was not in place. Chip's story obviously has a happy ending. We strive for a happy ending to every case we handle. Please insist upon having a re-homing agreement for your pet. We have some suggestions for you, but depending upon the specific circumstances of your pet's adoption, only you will know exactly what to include. |
