We, the Creators of Post-A-Pooch-Plus, are animal lovers, experienced in animal rescue and pet parents to shelter dogs, rescue dogs and re-homed dogs. We've maintained our connection to current companion animal rescue efforts in WNY so we realize the necessity of a service such as ours. Our service will assist pet owners in safely re-homing their pets as well as assist families in finding exactly the right pet. No-kill rescue groups are on overload with stray and abandoned pets. Some local shelters euthanize surplus, older, less adoptable animals, not because they want to, but because the numbers are overwhelming. Because of Post-A-Pooch-Plus, your pet will go directly from your home to its new home. Once we list your pet, the listing stays up until your pet is safely re-homed!
The Chief Pre-Placement Counselor of Post-A-Pooch-Plus has 17 years of experience as a Placement Coach for a WNY, no-kill, companion animal rescue group. Work related experience includes presenting cruelty free product information at workshops and seminars. Being the current pet parent to 4 rescue dogs, the Chief Counselor understands how traumatic re-homing can be for the pet and its owners if the placement is not handled properly. The Chief Pre-Placement Counselor's job is to guide pet owners through the re-homing process to ensure a safe, appropriate, stress free re-homing. Additional Pre-Placement Counselors have been trained and are strictly supervised by the Chief Counselor. |
